Dear Jack, I've gone to a couple of other leadership workshops in the past and I have enjoyed this one the most. The reason is that in other workshops, it was mostly just discussions about how we could change the world (third world countries, lack of water). These are great initiatives but what we really should do is help ourselves first. Today while we were doing the cross the line activity, most people acknowledged their problems. How could we help others without helping ourself. We really hit the root of the problem today and I think that with your assistance we can all flourish and be leaders who care. This year, I promise to ask my classmates how they are feeling. They may be shy or scared and just feel as if they can't ask for advice but if I'm open towards them, they may feel the same way. Thank you.
